The areas outside of the marked and groomed trails are considered »free√¢‚Ç¨¬ù sport terrain. Use at your own risk.

Avalanche Risk–Six Rules

Never blindly follow others’ tracks – they are no guarantee of safety from avalanches.
Check your avalanche transceiver (LVS) before each descent. Wear a backpack with a snow shovel, avalanche probe and first aid kit. Remove ski pole straps, ski or snowboard safety straps and loosen all equipment.
Beware of possible changes in weather conditions, particularly rising temperatures, fog or increasing wind.
Before starting out, check the avalanche bulletin for the current situation. Plan your route and follow the instructions of the mountain rescue service.
Never »ride√¢‚Ç¨¬ù alone! Use the buddy system and watch out for each other. Be prepared to react.
Avoid the steepest parts of the slope. Travel one person at a time.
